It’s believed, and even confirmed by locals, that many have seen radiant monks, some as old as a century, practicing Tapasya or Sadhna to advance in their spiritual journeys.

But why the mountains? Legend has it that these enigmatic peaks hide ancient caves, that are home to spiritually advanced monks from various faiths, including Hinduism and Buddhism. The frigid temperatures of these heights provide the perfect environment for deep meditation. Studies, including those by Harvard Medical School researchers, have documented the extraordinary abilities of these monks. They can raise their body temperature through intense meditation practices like g-Tummo, allowing them to endure extreme cold by generating internal heat, sometimes enough to dry wet sheets wrapped around them in freezing conditions Planet Asia

During one of the treks to Everest Base Camp, our guide met a shepherd, who was sharing that he had witnessed a group of monks, their bodies emitting a soft, ethereal glow. These monks, he explained, were practicing ancient forms of meditation, lesser known to modern humans. The shepherd shared how these monks had retreated to the Himalayas, seeking the solitude and purity that only these mountains could offer.

It is said that these eternal spirits traverse the planet, frequently living in holy locations like the Himalayas or concealed among us.
