Usually, trekkers get to the Everest Base Camp after taking a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, Dudh Koshi Valley, and then alighting at Sherpa Town, Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar, located in the heart of the Khumbu region, is also known as the Gateway to Everest. The region also has other prominent towering peaks, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Ama Dablam, which contribute to the breathtaking Nepal Mount Everest Himalayas. Along with these staggering peaks, astonishing cultural sites such as Tengboche Monastery, where the Mani Rimdu Festival is celebrated annually, also await the tourists.
